Today we made our annual Pumpkin Patch trip with all of the kids. The girls got to go with school last week, but Tucker hadn’t gone yet, so we all made the trek again. We found the perfect pumpkin to carve for our front porch too! All of the kids enjoyed the day very much, and Grandma Nita & Papa Gail got to come go with us as well. It’s always nice to have a few extra hands around to help out when headed for outings! The patch has really grown again this year. They still had all the classics from before – the big slide, the corn maze, the hay maze, all the picture scenes, the hayrack ride, the “barrel” ride, and the infamous “corn box” (it’s a huge “sand box” filled with corn kernels – the kids love it! This year they added two blow-up attractions – one that looks like a huge caterpillar with slides and also a bounce house – plus homemade ice cream & cotton candy, which they ran out of much to Tyler’s dismay, and a slingshot! We had so much fun that Tucker cried when we had to leave. I think I recall a similar scene last year with the girls!
The rest of the day, we hung out with Grandma & Grandpa at our house – we are so fortunate to have them so close that we can relax and enjoy each other for the whole day and not even have to pack anything for overnight! We love Saturdays like this one!
