Our first venture up the big slide
That was a piece of cake . . .
Check out this curly one Rayleigh
Stop for a quick pose - then back at bouncing!
This donut's eating ME!
Just Tucker's size
More climbing - what a great, fun workout!
Let's race . . . Rayleigh's in the lead!
I'm not too little for this one, Molly!
I was worn out just watching them climb to the top of this one - it had five layers of straps that they had to climb through to get to the top. This took a lot of arm & belly strength and a lot of coordination!
We finally made it to the top!
That was one big slide!
Tucker in the alligator's mouth
Crash & burn - I think I'll just lay here for a minute, Mom - I'm worn out!
A fun afternoon away from school!
Today the kids were out of school because the local schools were doing kindergarten round-up. So I took the day off as well and we spent some awesome QT together today. My mom came over and went with us as well. She started off the day be prepping to do Easter eggs (we are going to color them on Sunday when it is cold outside). Then we headed to lunch at Mazzio's - the kid's choice. Then on to the Kangaroo gym over in Joplin. We had never been there, but I am sure that we will be going back. The kids had a blast as you can see by the pictures. Can you believe that the queen of scrapbooking & blog site posting forgot my camera today! DUH!! I ended up taking all of these on my iPhone. I was worn out just from watching the kids, but I think that Tyler & I will take them back sometime and I am jumping next time! What a fun place. The kids were a little timid at first, but it didn't take long for them to figure out how much fun it was to zoom down those slides and bash into the crash-pad at the end! Tucker wasn't afraid to try anything either, and by the end of the day, he was actually jumping (launching) himself halfway down the slide before his bottom would actually hit the slide and slide the rest of the way down. It was so funny, but he was making me nervous. He tumbled all the way down once, jumped up and says, "I'm ok", and he was off again!
Molly & Rayleigh actually climbed the biggest slide there, which was a lot of work. It was the one with the tower of straps that you had to climb first. They were so proud that they could make it to the top & I was just so impressed at their strength and coordination. They all seemed to have a wonderful afternoon, and I really enjoyed spending the time with them as well as my mom. We, of course, had to hit Babe's on the way home for a quick ice cream cone, and then on back to Pittsburg.
Tyler left this morning for his annual fishing trip in Sedan, KS with about 15 other guys, so he should be having a great time as well. I just hope that the weather holds out for them. I think it will stay nice for them at least until Sunday!
