Easter Sunday

Happy Easter!

Well, much like the rest of our life right now, Easter Sunday could have gone a little more smoothly for us than it did. Tucker woke up sick. Of course, it wasn't until on our way to mass that we discovered his not feeling well. So, first thing we headed into church, I took him to the bathroom. He puked and had diarrhea the whole hour and fifteen minute mass, so Tyler & I stood in the back of the church, along with about 100 other people (no exaggeration), so that we could make it to the bathroom in time. Praise God, however, that we made it in time each time and had no accidents - that would have been a nightmare!

When we got home, the bunny had come. The girls loved it this year. Tucker wanted to love it, but just didn't feel well enough to. He would hunt a few eggs, then lay down - it was so sad. The girls were a silver lining though, when they started bringing eggs to him (without our prompting) - "Here Tucker, here's some eggs for you too" and they would put them in his basket. It was really so sweet, and exactly what Easter is about - practicing being good Christians!

Then on to Grandma Bome's (Sherry's mom) & Papa Charlie's for Easter dinner and more fun. It was so nice, because my parents joined us there this year as well. We are so fortunate to have our families get along so well that they can attend one another's functions and always feel like "part of the family"! After a wonderful dinner there (as usual) we decorated Easter eggs with the great-grandkids and then they hunted eggs in the basement. It really made for a nice day, and by the end of the day, Tucker was even starting to pipe-up a little. He was even insisting on wearing his new Superman jammies that he had gotten from the Easter bunny so that he could fly! He was "flying" all over Grandma's house, as his new attire came complete with a cape! Maybe the next holiday, we can make it through without anyone being sick - guess we will see.
