Decorating Easter Eggs . . .

This was the last activity planned on our adventure list for the weekend. The kids and I went to church this morning to Palm Sunday mass. Rayleigh picked our seat, so we sat in the very front row (there are about 35 rows in our church - it's a huge, traditional cathedral-type Catholic church). Aunt Carrie joined us for our front row adventure as well. I must say that the kids seemed to pay attention much better when Father Tom could see them so well! The palms didn't get too out of control either. I was just picturing a sword fight before the hour was up, but they contained themselves.

Then we came home to a nice surprise - Daddy was already home. The weather was really crummy and it was freezing outside (literally), so the boys packed up from their fishing weekend and headed home early. That way, Tyler got to get in on the egg decorating fun as well! Our neighbors joined us, and the kids spent a good majority of the afternoon decorating eggs. They had a ball, and did a really nice job. All in all, we had a great family weekend filled with lots of quality time. It is so nice to get a chance every now and then just to sit everything else aside and take time for nothing else but the kids. Those times just don't seem to come often enough.

Emma & Molly

I'm doing a green one, Mom!

Olivia's got this whole coloring thing down.

Rayleigh's doing her favorite, purple . . . of course!

No hiding the evidence now!

Our finished products . . . The kids couldn't wait to take them for their sharing items the next day.

Sorry the pics are a little dark - I messed up and had my camera on the wrong setting - oops!
