Loose tooth . . .

A few weeks ago, when we were at the dentist's office getting our teeth cleaned, the hygienist noticed that one of Molly's front bottom teeth is a little loose. I'm putting the stress on "LITTLE" loose. It may be another YEAR before she loses it, literally. However, she is now convinced that she has a loose tooth, and even spends time "wiggling" it each day, just to make sure that everyone remembers that she has a loose tooth (and that Rayleigh does not). Kids are so funny.

Anyway, that brought up the whole discussion of what was going to happen when she finally lost the tooth. I asked her if she knew what to do when it fell out. She quickly replied, "Taylor (a little girl at daycare) puts hers under her pillow."

"Really?" I prod a little more. "So then what happens? Why does she put it there?"

"Well, Mom, that's so the tooth BERRY will come visit. She takes our tooth and leaves us money!" she replied quite confidently.

I cracked up. I asked her if the tooth berry was anthing like a stink-berry, one of Tucker's favorite lines from the fav Jim Cosgrove "Mr. Stinky Feet" CD. She thought that was funny, but still doesn't understand why I found such humor in the whole "tooth berry" phrase.
