No, I'm not writing about bedtime. At gymnastics tonight, Tucker was sitting on my lap. He was interested in the paper circles on the wall behind us that have the gymnasts' names on them. He kept saying, "Look at these, Mommy!" Just as I turned around to look at what he was pointing at, he was too quick for me! Before I could even say, "Don't . . ." he already had flipped the switch! Out went the lights, and immediately, all eyes were on us! "Sorry!" was all that I could muster up to say. Of course, the lights are like gymnasium lights that take 15 minutes to warm back up to come back on. Needless to say, the "big girls" at gymnastics had to practice with their end of the gymnasium in the dark for the rest of practice. Talk about embarrassing!
On the way home, Tucker pipes up, "We not turn off the lights at Mol-Rayleigh's gymnastics, huh, Mom?!"
"No, Tucker, we should leave the lights alone!" I reassured him. We'll see if he remembers the lesson next week!
