Maverick's 1st Birthday Party

Maverick & his Great-Grandpa

Mom & Amber made Maverick a very special dump-truck cake

It was loaded with a load of dirt (oreos)

Personalized with every detail - how special!

A little QT with her little man (notice the "1" on the back of his shirt)

This cupcake is AMAZING!

Let me at that candle, Mom! I'll just grab it instead of blowing it out!

All of the "kids" at Maverick's party - what a bunch!

Every kid needs a fitted KU hat, don't they?!

What a special day! Maverick got to spend his first birthday outside (February 7th)! He may not get to celebrate too many that way in February. It was a beautiful day outside, and other than the wind - it was perfect. No complaints. Matt made Maverick his own personalized t-shirt with the Top Gun theme around his name. Then he put a number "1" on the back - it was precious! We celebrated at Amber's Mom & Step-Dad's house. How nice of them to open up their home. The cake was delicious as well. I think Amber surprised herself by making such a cool cake. Mom helped her get started, but she decorated most of it herself. How special to be able to look back on his first cake and for her to be able to tell him that she made that just for him! Matt and Amber did a really nice job of making Maverick's day very special - we wish them much more happiness and memories to come. They grow too fast, so I hope they cherish these times when Maverick is so little! HAPPY BIRTHDAY LITTLE MAN!
