New cute sayings . . .

The kids have been into Alvin & The Chipmunks movie lately. In fact, I think they watch it once a day right now. Now they have started memorizing lines from the movie & it is too funny! The other night at the dinner table, Tucker took one look at his dessert and spurted out, “Well, h-e-l-l-o gorgeous!” This is what Alvin said when he opened Dave’s snack cabinet in the movie. I wasn’t sure any of us would be able to stop laughing.

Rayleigh loves to dance with the movie. During one of the scenes yesterday, she put on quite a display, full of a little tap, a little jazz, lots of spinning and a little break-dancing, completed with the ever-so-famous bow! I wish I’d have had the video camera out. I really need to hide it by the recliner so I can catch some of these things without them knowing about it!

Molly is our singer. She LOVES to sing. She doesn’t even care what she is singing, as long as she’s singing. If it’s a song the chipmunks sang, she sings in the chipmunk voice. If she heard it in music class today, she’s going to sing it. If the radio is on, she’s going to sing along. If she doesn’t know the words, she makes them up, and if it’s quiet for more than a few seconds . . . you’ve guessed it – she’s going to break into song of some sort. She’s been belting out Had a Bad Day (in a chipmunk voice), Jesus Loves Me, I’ve Got the Joy, Joy, Joy, Joy down in my heart – where – down in my heart – where-down in my heart . . . and the Journey / Steve Perry song “Oh, Sherry – our love holds on, holds on” except she sings “Oh, Sherry,(mumble, mumble, mumble) – Oh, Larry, (mumble, mumble, mumble)”! The first time she broke out in “Oh, Larry” I thought I’d die laughing – she couldn’t figure out what was so funny.
